The remarkable increase in home sales continues

The number of sale contracts lodged at Land Registry offices reached a 14-year high in April for the fourth consecutive month.

Total sales reached 938, a 13% rise over the April 2021 number of 832 and the highest April result since 2008.

Although sales declined by 3% in Nicosia (the capital) and stayed stable in Famagusta, they increased in the remaining three districts compared to April 2021. Limassol had the biggest number of sales, followed by Nicosia, Paphos, Larnaca, and lastly Famagusta.
